TISANE CULTIVATION - CUSTOM HERBAL CARE
My name is Diana, and I grow, harvest and blend my own tisanes from herbs on my small, country property nestled in the Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, Canada. Tisane is the name for purely herbal teas. The simple, soothing ritual of herbal tea has the power to calm frazzled nerves, lift the spirits, and nourish the body and mind. I share my tisanes with you as a culinary and horticultural art piece - each plant hand sown, grown, tended, pruned, harvested and dried. Each tisane is blended with my best intention to honor the herbs and their flavors; combining some well known herbs with sustainable, indigenous species to Eastern Ontario.

Tranquill, Calming, Sage
The power of Pineapple Sage, St. Johns Wort, Grape Leaves and Skullcap come together in this lifting tisane which may balance mood and ease the nerves.
Soothing, floral, fresh
Something special happens when lavender, thyme, and elderberries come together. They help to ease throat irritation, and bolstered with marshmallow leaves and blossoms, may reduce pain and inflammation of the throat.
Sweet, Lush
Blended to help ease cold and flu symptoms. Featuring power house plants such as rosemary, hollyhock, clover, gooseberry leaves, and mullien.
Bright, Astringent, Rich
This energetic brew utilizes herbs that are believed to help with metabolism, allergies, and energy regulation. Featuring the mighty goldenrod blossoms, sunflower leaf and petals, calendula and coriander.
Minty, Floral, Soothing
This longtime favorite tisane may provide relief for any person who experiences menstruation or menopause/perimenopause symptoms. Featuring powerhouse botanicals like motherwort, yarrow, peony and lemongrass, with many more!
Fruity, Delicate, Herbaceous
The herbs in this tisane are believed to reduce headaches and eye ache. Featuring currant, cherry, raspberry and strawberry leaf and fruit, with feverfew and parsley.

I invite you to begin your tea ritual with a deep, centering breath, followed by a pause.
I invite you to acknowledge that just for the next few minutes, this is a time for you to sip tea with ease, tasting the freshness of the harvest, and the bounty of vitamins and anti-oxidants.
My seasonal tisanes are each blended specifically to both soothe the body and the soul; using traditional folk medicine as a guide, and the alchemy of terpenes and lesser known flavor combinations to create a unique herbal and culinary tea experience.
To brew herbal tisane, use 250ml boiling water to 2g tisane.
During the hot days of summer, try an iced tisane blend. Simply brew a strong pot of tea, and let it steep for ten minutes. Then add two cups or so of ice cubes and let steep an additional 10 minutes. Add more time if you'd like a stronger brew, but be sure to remove the tea bag to avoid any bitterness.

I give thanks to the stewards of the land before me, and for the reflection of the meaning behind the Dish with One Spoon is the highest honor. I commit that I will take only what I need from the dish, leaving enough for the people and wildlife that come after me. I also commit to filling the dish; in learning more about indigenous communities and in sharing those learnings with my family and the people in my life.
